IDOT PTB 156 Item 052 – Task Order #1

Location: District 8, Illinois

EDSI was selected as a the prime consultant to provide Phase III engineering services for various project throughout District 8. This project consisted of the layout, measurement, inspection and documentation of final quantities for various installations of new pavement markings in St. Claire and Madison Counties.

 

EDSI performed inspection, layout, and daily documentation for Contract #46164 on District 8 ICORS. The project consisted of various areas of pavement marking removal and replacement with new pavement markings. EDSI construction inspector was responsible for directing and inspecting pavement markings and traffic control for contract compliance, calculating quantities, collecting samples of pavement marking tape, collecting and recording manufacturer and supplier information, recording all equipment and labor time spent on the sites, and providing contractors with project limits and daily quantities.

 

 

IDOT PTB 156 Item 052 – Task Order #2

Location: District 8, Illinois

EDSI was selected as the prime consultant to complete Phase III engineering services for various project throughout District 8. This project consisted of the layout, measurement, inspection and documentation of final quantities for various installations of Types A, B and C PCC concrete patches for a variety of locations on local roads and interstate routes throughout District 8.

 

EDSI performed inspection, layout and daily documentation for Contracts #76E80 and #76E79 on District 8 ICORS. EDSI inspectors were responsible for directing and inspecting removal and placement of concrete to ensure it meets standard specifications, traffic control for contract compliance, calculating quantities, collecting samples, collecting and recording manufacturer and supplier information, recording all equipment and labor time spent on the sites, and providing contractors with project limits and daily quantities.

 

 

IDOT PTB 156 Item 052 – Task Order #3

Location: District 8, Illinois

EDSI was selected as the prime consultant to complete Phase III engineering services for various projects throughout District 8. This project consisted of the layout, measurement, inspection and documentation of final quantities for various installations of guardrail on interstate and secondary routes throughout District 8.

 

EDSI performed inspection layout, and daily documentation for Contract #76E81 on District 8 ICORS. EDSI construction inspector was responsible for inspection and verification of materials to ensure the use of approved sources as per IDOT standards and specifications, directing contractor to repair additional damaged guardrail as required, review of contractor traffic control and completion of daily documentation of project progress.

 

 

IDOT PTB 151 Item 047 – Task Order #1 – Various Construction Inspection Projects, Various Routes, Various Counties

Location: District 8, Illinois

EDSI performed Phase III engineering services to provide construction inspection, drafting, supervision, engineering layout, and record maintenance throughout District 8. Typical projects included guardrail repairs and replacement, pavement marking installation, pump repairs, highway lighting upgrades, emergency highway repairs, and safety device installation. The firm was required to perform on-site inspection and provide construction layout, and also maintain records and documentation.

 

 

Missouri River WWTP Secondary Expansions

Missouri River WWTPLocation: St. Louis, Missouri

EDSI performed construction phase services for new construction to expand the secondary treatment facilities, add new UV disinfection facilities, and upgrade the existing digester facilities at the Missouri River WWTP. EDSI also performed construction phase services for the new sodium hypoclorite disinfection facilities at the Coldwater Creek WWTP. EDSI was responsible for preparing written responses to questions regarding the contract documents presented by the CM, observing the contractor’s work progress to determine the work is in general conformance with the requirements of the bid documents. EDSI provided timely reviews for shop drawings and responses to contractor requests for interpretations or information and proposed modifications identified by the contractor or the district. In addition EDSI provided survey services including establishing horizontal and vertical control for use throughout the project and preparing record drawings reflecting changes during construction. These services were provided over a period of three years.

 

 

Bissell & Lemay WWTP Disinfection Facilities

Bissell & Lemay WWTPLocation: St. Louis, Missouri

The project consists of construction phase services for proposed new facilities to provide effluent disinfection at the Bissell and Lemay WWTPs. These include the addition of new UV disinfection facilities and addition of new chlorination and de-chlorination facilities. EDSI performed construction phase services including providing administrative and technical support, review and approval of contractor’s shop drawings to determine contractors understanding of material and equipment requirements. EDSI observed the contractor’s work progress to determine the work is in general conformance with the requirements of bid documents. EDSI provided timely reviews and responses to contractor requests for interpretations or information and proposed modifications identified by the contractor or the district, review and respond to RFI’s. In addition EDSI provided survey services including establishing horizontal and vertical control for use throughout the project and preparing record drawings reflecting changes during construction. These services were provided over a period of three years.

 

Mississippi River Bridge Workforce Monitoring

MRB Workforce MonitoringLocation: St. Louis, Missouri

EDSI assisted in the implementation and execution of a program to monitor all contractors and subcontractors on all projects associates with the New Mississippi River Bridge (MRB). Task included discussions with the Resident Engineer to determine subcontractors on site and construction schedules. EDSI field inspectors conducted interviews with construction supervisors to determine snapshot of the day’s work force and to tabulate minority / female workforce utilization and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise utilization. Weekly diaries were also submitted as a record of progression. All tasks associated with the project are located

 

 

 

Poplar Street Bridge Reconstruction

PoplarStreetBridgeLocation: St. Louis, Missouri

Phase III Engineering services were required for construction inspection, engineering layout, and record maintenance for two major construction contracts on I-55 / 70 / 64 and US 40 Poplar Street Complex to rehabilitate Tudor / Piggot and IL 3 ramps and roadways. EDSI personnel also inspected concrete removal on the deck, steel reinforcement bars, partial and full depth patches in the deck, installation of finger joints and neoprene expansion joints, deck grooving, material testing, and the installation of seismic and redundancy retrofit systems. Daily reports were prepared documenting work completed, along with assistance with quantity reviews, assistance in maintaining permanent construction records and insurance of all work completed in compliance with the plans and specifications.

 

 

New I-64 Project Management

New I-64Location: St. Louis, Missouri

EDSI was responsible for the coordination of tasks to assist the Missouri Department of Transportation with management of project to rehabilitate nine miles of urban interstate from west of Spoede Road in St. Louis County to east of Kingshighway Blvd. in St. Louis City along existing I-64 / US Route 40. It features the rebuilding and upgrading of the pavement, bridges, and interchanges along the corridor and the addition of one lane in each direction from Spoede Road to I-170. A new directional interchange was built at I-170. Tasks included utility coordination and oversight on traffic signals, lighting, signing, and pavement markings.
