Junior Achievement Career Fair 2018

On Thursday, February 22, EDSI President George John and Tyler Cloutier, Staff Engineer, attended the Junior Achievement Career Fair. The event was centered around preparing approximately 1,500 middle school and high school students for higher education, the workforce, and their future. Students attending the Career Fair met with field representatives from six career paths. These representatives shared their stories, the journey to their jobs, education and training requirements for their professions, and a typical day on the job. George and Tyler were among the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) representatives. When the students arrived, they chose which of the representatives they were interested in learning more about. George and Tyler met with over 200 students throughout the day, speaking to them about what it takes to become a Civil Engineer. Hopefully, they were able to inspire the next generation to pursue STEM and possibly be lucky enough to work at EDSI in their future!
